ROTTERDAM

Terrible rain meant we couldn’t do the port boat tour of Rotterdam we wanted but we braved the weather to walk over the Erasmus bridge to De Rotterdam towers, Europe’s largest building by area. We then got the metro to see the diagonal houses before heading back.

We stayed at the EasyHotel. The economic room was very tiny, however clean. I wouldn’t advise it if you’re travelling with a large case, you wouldn’t be able to have it open on the floor. The location was very good, many shops and good public transport nearby. The next day we walked back to Centraal station (15min walk) and took the bus to the tiny Rotterdam Hague airport.Rotterdam

We had only a day there so we tried to make the most of it, even though it was raining, it was great.
